Who I am
I'm an engineering leader with a passion for building great products and empowering teams to do their best work. During my career, I've had the opportunity to work across both product and engineering, taking on challenges like launching new products, scaling platforms to support thousands of users, and mentoring engineers to grow in their careers.
In my current role at Student First, I lead a team of five engineers (a mix of full-time and contractors) and work closely with product and customer success teams to prioritize work that makes the biggest impact. From implementing new client rollouts and refining team processes, I love balancing the human and technical sides of engineering leadership.

I'm excited about joining CompanyCam because the way you work—protecting engineers' time, focusing on meaningful outcomes, and valuing work-life balance—aligns with my own values. Here's what you can expect from me as the next Engineering Manager:
- Managing Teams Across Two Groups: At Student First, I've been leading a hybrid team across different projects, helping prioritize work, supporting team growth, and making sure everyone stays focused on delivering results.
- Hiring and Retaining Great Engineers: I've led recruitment efforts in multiple roles, from refining job descriptions to conducting interviews and mentoring new hires.
- Collaborating with Product Managers and Designers: Working with cross-functional teams has been central to my career. I know how to balance product priorities with technical constraints to ship on time and deliver value.
- Experience with Shape Up: While at Rightworks and Rootworks, I led teams using Shape Up principles to define and deliver work in clear cycles. I've also adapted other methodologies to fit what works best for each team.
- Optimizing Developer Experience: I've built CI/CD pipelines, streamlined workflows, and coached teams on best practices to make development smoother and more enjoyable.
